I designed the Malice Striker primarily for the bass guitar. Filters at each buffer or amplifier stage are designed to allow lower frequencies than many other distortion pedals. There is an internal voltage doubler in the Malice Striker, which drives 5 op-amps - an input buffer, the RAT-inspired clipping amplifier, another buffer, the inverting op-amp for the tone control, and a final inverting op-amp.
